About Rhapsody

Library

Rhapsody is a teenager who loves to write. She wrote her first story when she was 3 years old. It was about the sun getting sick and having to go to the hospital. Coincidentally, her little brother was very sick at the time and had to spend several days in the hospital.

Since then Rhapsody’s writings have expanded to include African animals racing and making friends, an alien force saving the earth, book characters that come to life, and many others. She writes all her first drafts in pencil on paper, and then types them onto the computer. She feels, and I agree, that the pencil and paper help creative flow better than typing. Also, you can keep paper and pencil stuffed in your bag and pull it out anywhere. She makes the most of every opportunity when she has a plot idea. I have known her to write in many restaurants and waiting rooms.

It’s hard to find a publisher who will take on a teenager. Especially when they won’t write anything less than 8,000 words. I’ve started this website for Rhapsody in the knowledge that someday she will be published. This is her platform to put some book excerpts on, and to blog about her writing process and journey.
